Lisbon is one of the most amazing cities in Europe where you can make the most for your money. The weather is nice, the food delicious and people are friendly.

Lisbon enjoys a Mediterranean type climate with average temperatures of 15 °C (59 °F) during the day and 8 °C (46 °F) during the night in January, the coldest month, and 32 °C (89 °F) during the day and 18 °C (64 °F) during the night in August, the hottest month. It is common to have temperatures above 20 °C (68 °F) in autumn and spring.

Briefly, spring and autumn are normally considered the best time for visiting Lisbon. But you can also have fun in the other seasons. Summer is usually hot and dry but it has warm wonderful evenings. Wintertime is somewhat rainy but you could have some really nice days, especially in March.

Yes, you can find them in almost every corner, especially in the city center. Almost all restaurants and shops have electronic payment except small and traditional business.

English is widely understood in Lisbon, mostly in tourist areas and by young people. If you go to more traditional neighborhoods you might have to be more creative.

Although Portuguese and Spanish are very similar languages, the very different pronunciation can make things difficult for a Spanish speaker. You should have much less trouble reading Portuguese.
