Why should I visit Lisbon?

Lisbon is one of the most amazing cities in Europe where you can make the most for your money. The weather is nice, the food delicious and people are friendly.
How is the weather in Lisbon?

Lisbon enjoys a Mediterranean type climate with average temperatures of 15 °C (59 °F) during the day and 8 °C (46 °F) during the night in January, the coldest month, and 32 °C (89 °F) during the day and 18 °C (64 °F) during the night in August, the hottest month. It is common to have temperatures above 20 °C (68 °F) in autumn and spring.
What is the best time of the year to visit Lisbon?

Briefly, spring and autumn are normally considered the best time for visiting Lisbon. But you can also have fun in the other seasons. Summer is usually hot and dry but it has warm wonderful evenings. Wintertime is somewhat rainy but you could have some really nice days, especially in March.
Are ATM widely available in Lisbon?

Yes, you can find them in almost every corner, especially in the city center. Almost all restaurants and shops have electronic payment except very small and traditional business.
How is the mobile phone coverage in Lisbon?

Lisbon has full mobile coverage, even in the subway
Are ther free wireless internet free hotspots available?

Yes there are plenty in public gardens , shopping malls and in post offices. MacDonalds offers a complimentary Wifi access to their costumers.
Is English spoken in Lisbon?

English is widely understood in Lisbon, mostly in tourist areas and by young people. If you go to more traditional neighborhoods you might have to be more creative.
I speak Spanish, can I understand Portuguese?

Although Portuguese and Spanish are very similar languages, the very different accent can make things difficult for a Spanish speaker. You should have much less trouble in reading Portuguese.

Do you organize tours outside Lisbon?

There are several worthy locations around Lisbon that can be accessed in a hour or two like Sintra, Obidos, Evora or Coimbra. Get a quotation.
Do you book hotels or restaurants?

Since we aren't a tour operator or agency, we don't provide those services
Do you organize large tours in Portugal?

For that purpose you might want to contact a specialized travel agency that could provide good services for the best rates. From US you have “Rick Steves Portugal Tours” offering a very good Portugal experience.
Do you have any tips for a traveler to Lisbon?

Use comfortable shoes and get used to some climbing and cobblestone sidewalks. Also, have in mind that most people are friendly and genuinely willing to help you, but you can also find scammers, pickpockets and the like, as you would expect to find in other large cities.
